This is our 1st trip to Disney and I am trying to find out if the meal plan is worth it w/a picky 5 year old. Does anyone know the cost of the Magic Your Way Plus meal plan and if it is worth it for a 5 day 4 night trip. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Tammy,

I too had a picky five year old eater. Luckily, thanks to some great Disney Dining experiences, her palate has expanded.

The Disney Dining Plan is great for children under nine. I think it is worth the price for a child who will eat off the children's menu. While I do not know the specific price, it is almost like getting a free meal for a child each day. This makes it worth it for those children. If your child would prefer a more sophisticated menu, then skip the meal plan unless an adult in the party will switch meals.

You can look at menus online for each restaurant so you can determine if your child would be able to eat at it. You can also dine at a buffet where there are more options. Your five year old might even surprise you and try something new off the buffet. This is how my oldest daughter discovered her love of fish.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
