This is our 2nd trip to disney but our first trip staying on property we are staying at sports resort and are getting the quick service plan how much extra money should we bring (2 adults 2 children 2 years and 4 years) Thank you Our trip is in Sept 2012

    Cory,

When my wife and I made our last two trips to Walt Disney World I took the bills afterwards and looked at what we spent AFTER meals. This was with two little girls, aged 2/4 the first trip, 3/5 on the second. So right in the same age group as yours.

We averaged $50 per day extra, along with another $100 for the week for merchandise.

Now I would say that this is what most would consider a conservative number. But we keep the kids on a tight budget for shirts and toys, letting them only have 1 item each per trip. Also, we were on a full dining plan, so we had fewer needs to augment the dining. With quick service you will find that the kids are more than full, but you might want to treat yourselves to an added sweet snack here and there. Finally, this does not include any adult beverages, which can add up quickly.

But I think this is a nice estimate for most families like ours. I think you can use this as a starting point, and will know your families needs better than I do, telling you where to move the numbers from there.

    Have a magical vacation!
