Trip in 16 days! One more ? Plan on MNSSHP with my almost 4 yo DD. I have been in the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribean many times, but I don't know if this would be something that would terrify her.

Hey Debra!  This is a great question and every child is different so I think you have to base your decision on how scared she is about things.  My older two never blinked when they went on either attraction.  We would make jokes about the "funny" ghosts and they loved the pirates.  It also helped that we picked out the animals and how life-like they were.
But now my third daughter was a different story at the age of 4.  I took her on both of these attractions and she was okay with pirates but did not want to go back in the Haunted Mansion.  I think the best thing to do is to tell her what to expect before she enters and remind her that they can't touch her at all.  Then try the "funny" ghosts routine at the Mansion, that really helped my girls.  And the "look how cute the cats are" in Pirates.
The great thing about both of these attractions is you are seated and if she gets really scared she can put her head down in your lap and then she may tell you, "I'm never riding on that again."
I hope you have a great time in just a few days and that your little princess has a magical WDW vacation.
