Trip is in 9 days!!!!! So Excited!!!! My son is desperate to see an Alligator in the wild. Do you ever see them in the lakes on Disney property? We are at the POP. Thanx.

I have never seen an alligator in the wild at WDW, although I'm sure they must show up from time to time. (Wildlife I have seen at WDW include frogs, rabbit, snakes, deer, many species of birds, and zillions of lizards.) However, I do have two places at WDW where your son could see live alligators. On the Kilimanjaro Safari ride at the Animal Kingdom, there are more than a dozen man-sized alligators that you pass on the tour. The best view of these can be found from the left side of the vehicle.

Also, on the Behind the Seeds tour at the Living Seas pavilion, guests are given the opportunity to feed a large tank full of baby alligators. My girls thought this was the coolest ever, but I have to admit that I was a little afraid of them even though they were little and behind chest-high glass. You can read more about my experience on the Behind the Seeds tour HERE.
