Welcome BACK to
planDisney, Diane! It is great to see you here asking another Disney vacation question. I love that you trust us to provide you with answers.
Your Walt Disney World vacation is just around the river bend! How exciting! Typically,
Travel Insurance must be purchased at least 30 days in advance, but you can follow these steps to see if you can still add it to your existing reservation:
1. Go to the bottom of any page of Disneyworld.com and select “My Plans”.
2. Select “Change Reservation” next to your package reservation.
3. Scroll down to see if your trip is eligible for a Travel Protection Plan—if it is, “Add” will be available; if it is not, “Add” will be unavailable.
4. Select “Add” and follow the prompts.
You may also add the Travel Protection Plan to your reservation by calling
Walt Disney World Resort Reservations line.
If you are unable to add the travel insurance to your existing reservation, don’t worry! Disney Resort hotel room-only stays can be cancelled or modified without penalty as long as you do so at least 8 days prior to your check-in date.
I hope nothing interrupts your vacation plans, Diane, and you enjoy a wonderful stay at
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter. It’s a Mardi Gras celebration every day, and this jazzy resort sweeps you into the celebratory spirit as soon as you arrive. I recommend treating yourself to some beignets from
Scat Cat’s Club sometime during your stay!
Have an unforgettable visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth! If we can answer more of your questions, bring them here to planDisney. We are happy to help our Pals find answers so they can enjoy the most magical Disney vacation possible.
See Ya Real Soon!
