Hi, we have a trip booked for 9/7 -9/15, 2014 for our daughter's 18th birthday. 1st night planning to eat dinner at Downtown Disney, what would be the best place to start the celebration off right? Real birthday is Sept 12, MK for the day!

Hi, Linda!  I think the best place is probably dependent upon your daughter.   My oldest, who celebrated her 18th birthday in Downtown Disney, had dinner at Raglan Road.  She loves all things Irish, and the pub atmosphere, delicious food, and amazing Irish entertainment was the perfect celebration for her.

This past summer, we celebrated her 22nd birthday at Downtown Disney.  This time, she chose Paradiso 37 and LOVED it!  The eclectic menu and live evening entertainment gave her birthday weekend an awesome kick-off.

Your daughter might be more interested in something like Rainforest Cafe, where you are caught in a tropical thunderstorm, surrounded by excited animals.  Or T-Rex, where you can dine among the dinosaurs.

Another great idea is the Fork and Screen option at the AMC theater at Pleasure Island.  You can enjoy a nice dinner and a film in a really comfortable setting.

If you want to let me know more about your daughter and her preferences, I can make a recommendation that she might really enjoy.  I really think, though, these are some of the best options!

    Have a great vacation!
