We have a trip in April, but are concerned with canceling due to Covid, even if we arrive and need to cut our trip short. We plan to pay for hotel and feed with our Dinsey Chase CC points. Can we pay at the end of our stay so we don't loose pts

Welcome back to planDisney, Sarah! You've asked another great question, and we're happy to help!

Disney Visa Rewards Redemption Cards are a fantastic way to help pay for your trip! Every time I stop at the grocery store or the gas station, I know I'm earning more Rewards Dollars for my Walt Disney World trip. If you haven't done so already, make sure to order a Redemption Card when you have at least 20 Disney Rewards Dollars. It's super easy to reuse and reload it again online, with a minimum of 10 Rewards Dollars. Carry it in your wallet, so you're always ready to redeem! Visit disneyrewards.com for more information.

If you have a room-only balance left upon arrival at the Walt Disney World Resort hotel, then you can use your Disney Rewards Redemption Card to pay it off; you'll need to do this on the day you check-in at the front desk. I have done this many times myself! Disney does encourage Guests to leave a credit card on file. You can opt-out; however, by not doing so, you won't be able to charge to your room during your trip or use MagicBands for purchases (having a card on file is also a requirement to make a dining reservation).

I recommend carrying your Redemption Card with you and then paying for your food and merchandise purchases as you go. If you'd prefer to leave a card on file and charge back to your room, then make sure you go down to the front desk and use your Rewards Dollars before midnight on the day of the last night of your stay; otherwise, your credit card will be charged. If your reservation exceeds five days, the card on file will be charged the current balance on the Resort folio(s) every fifth day of your stay and after checkout. Disney altered their payment card policy in 2019, so take a look at it on the Walt Disney World website.

Another great place to use those Reward Dollars, Sarah, is at the Outdoor Kitchens at the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Last year, I used my card several times at The Honey Bee-stro Booth, where they serve my favorite Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake! And while you are visiting EPCOT, head to the Disney Visa Photo spot for a Cardmember exclusive Disney Magic Shot experience!

I hope your trip is blooming with fun this spring!
