Ahoy, Alicia!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I've been lucky enough to sail the Alaskan itinerary twice aboard the
Disney Wonder, and both times I wasn't able to cross all that I wanted to do off my list. I guess that means I need to go back and hopefully the third time's the charm!
On the
Alaskan sailings, the cruise staff does an incredible job of planning activities and events for Guests of all ages. You'll find first-run movies, game shows, trivia, live music, variety shows by guest entertainers, karaoke, BINGO, variety workshops, animation classes and a series of Alaskan information sessions just to name a few! Each evening there will be a nightly show in the Walt Disney Theatre including the newly debuted,
Frozen, A Musical Spectacular! And swimming is an activity to add to the list because once the outside temperature drops below 75 degrees, the pools are heated. We swam a few times and so did plenty of others. In fact, the last day of our cruise we had 80 degree weather, and it felt more like a Caribbean cruise than an Alaskan one!
If you have children, the youth programming will be the place to be! The youth counselors will have engaging and entertaining activities planned all day long. On the day the ship sails through Tracy Arm, the fun will move to the Wide World of Sports Deck for Base Camp. All the sailors checked in will be able to enjoy the stunning views while playing and hanging out with their new friends and the coolest counselors on the high seas.
I would take a cruise to Alaska on the Disney Wonder again in a heartbeat so I definitely recommend it! If you have any further questions, please let us know!
