We tried to upgrade our Disney passes and mine worked fine but my boyfriends upgraded button is greyed out.

    Hi Kirsten,

Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. I hope you might have already found a solution to your upgrade conundrum, but if not I'm happy to assist!

Last year I purchased my very first Annual Pass and have enjoyed my visits to the parks even more than I expected. It's been so nice to visit more frequently and take advantage of the many associated discounts. My renewal window just opened and I was eager to secure another year of magic. However, though my Annual Pass shows as eligible to renew in My Disney Experience Mobile App, I was unable to complete the renewal process by app or online.

I have the Sorcerer Pass which is restricted to Florida residents and Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Members so I needed to contact DVC Member Services by phone to complete the transaction. They were able to assist and the new pass is already linked to my account.

I'm not sure which pass you and your boyfriend had or are trying to upgrade to, but there may be certain restrictions on his pass type. I'd recommend having him contact a Cast Member by phone to review and confirm any eligibility requirements, if applicable. You can reach out to V.I.PASSHOLDER Support by phone, email, or chat to discuss. They should be able to assist in upgrading his pass or at least answer any questions about the process. You can also visit with a Cast Member at the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs or a ticket window at the main entrance of any theme park to complete the transaction in person.

I hope you'll be able to get his Annual Pass upgraded in time for your next magical visit. Remember, as Annual Passholders you'll still need to make theme park reservations for most days you plan to visit the parks except for Good-to-Go Days which are circled on the blockout calendar.

I hope this helped, Kirsten. If we can answer any additional questions please come back and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
