I tried to make a reservation for the Topolino’s Breakfast. It said it could not search for a table and asked if my reservation at the resort was linked. Do I need to stay on-site to book a breakfast at Topolinos?

Welcome to planDisney, Nichole! One of the best Pooh-isms is "What could be more important than a little something to eat? Food and Walt Disney World are two great topics, so I'm happy to help!

Making your Advanced Dining Reservations, or "ADRs" in Disney lingo, is one of the most exciting parts of the planning process. However, it's frustrating when even your best-laid plans hit a snag (trust me, it's happened to me before, too). All Guests, even those staying off-site, can make Walt Disney World Resort dining reservations. The main difference is that Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can make their ADRs 60 days in advance of their check-in day for their entire stay, up to 10 days. Since you are staying off property, you will need to reserve dining for each day of your vacation, one day at a time, beginning 60 days out. I'm guessing that you received the error message because you were making an ADR more than 60 days away. Try it again when you are exactly 60 days from when you want to dine at Topolino's Terrace, and see if it works; don't forget to be logged in to your My Disney Experience account by 6:00 AM EST. If this doesn't work, I suggest calling Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463); the phone lines open at 7:00 EST. I'm sending you some pixie dust!

Topolino's Terrace is one of the best character meals on property, which explains its popularity. The word "Topolino" is actually the Italian name for Mickey Mouse, so you'll see him with his best pals dressed in fun, artsy garb. Try to get a selfie with the Big Cheese in his painter's apron. My favorite breakfast entrees are the Quiche Gruyère and the Sour Cream Waffles, but those Mickey Waffle Dippers on the kids' menu are super cute!

Ciao, Nichole- or as Mickey likes to say, "See ya real soon!"
