Hi Kimberly,
Welcome back to planDisney! I'm happy to hear that you and your family will be visiting Disneyland for your Disney trip this time around.
The
Disney Princess Breakfast is very popular, and reservations get picked up quickly. Dining reservations can usually be made about 60 days in advance and sometimes as early as 6 am. So it’s very likely that others have already booked their reservations. I know that is a "bibbidi bobbidi bummer," but don’t let that discourage you, Kimberly! I recommend that you continue to check for reservations, as people may change their plans, and a spot could open up.
Currently, some of the restaurants at the Grand Californian are undergoing renovations. Napa Rose will be temporarily closed, so the Disney Princess Breakfast has moved to the Trillium Ballroom in the Grand Californian. I recommend visiting and asking about their walk-up policy or speaking with a Cast Member to see if it’s possible to make reservations the day of. On my last trip to the Grand Californian, I was unable to make advance reservations for my daughter and me to have breakfast at Storytellers Café. In the morning, we spoke with a Cast Member and discovered that there was availability that day. There’s no harm in asking!
If you're looking to create a royal experience, I recommend heading to the
Royal Hall to meet up to three Disney Princesses. Your little ones can get autographs and take photos with the princesses. Afterward, you and your family can relax and enjoy a show at the
Royal Theater, where you can see productions of Tangled or Beauty and the Beast. You could also try the character breakfast at the
Plaza Inn. I’ve heard great things about the food and character interaction there.
I hope these tips are helpful, Kimberly. If you have any other questions or need help planning, feel free to write back to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’d be happy to share our thoughts.
Wishing you the best of luck!
