Welcome to planDisney, Andrew!
It sounds like you want adventure in the great, wide somewhere. Luckily, as a Floridian, you're merely miles from the magic and adventure at Walt Disney World Resort. There’s no better time to start planning your next visit than now, so I'm happy to help you get started on just that.
I remember seeing Pleasure Island from a distance for the first time as a teenager and looking forward to the day I would be old enough to find out what it was all about. Alas, Pleasure Island is no more, so I will never know and it won’t be waiting for you on your next trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth. I know that’s a bummer to hear, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t equally exciting places to have a night out. The area where Pleasure Island was formerly located is now known as “The Landing” in Disney Springs.
The Landing has several hangouts that are popular amongst adults, such as
Wine Bar George,
Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar, and
Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant (which has live entertainment nightly). There are countless additional dining locations, shopping opportunities, and experiences to partake in throughout
Disney Springs.
However, it sounds like you are particularly interested in putting on your blue suede shoes and rocking the night away. Well, you’re in luck, Andrew! Over at
Disney’s BoardWalk, you’ll find the
Atlantic Dance Hall, a nightclub open to Guests 21 years of age and older, where you can strut your stuff on the dance floor late into the night. Also located on Disney’s BoardWalk is
Jellyrolls, a piano bar for Guests over 21 that features dueling pianos and audience sing-alongs. Just be sure to check the webpages for both locations ahead of your visit to view their operational days and hours.
Andrew, I hope I’ve given you a few ideas to explore in place of Pleasure Island. If you think of anything else we can help you with, please stop by planDisney again.
Have a magical day,
Alyssa
