We are travelling to WDW this summer and our two children are very picky eaters. I had heard somewhere that any table service restaurant should be able to offer a PB&J, even if it is not listed on the children's menu. Is this true?

Hi, Scott!  Most restaurants are able to accommodate a special request, such as possibly a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, if there are picky eaters in your party.  Not all restaurants have that option, however.

You will find, though, that the culinary team at any Walt Disney World restaurant seems to go out of it's way to accommodate special dietary needs - including picky palates!  In many cases, you can order a kids pasta without sauce or with just butter.  You can swap out veggies for a different side dish.  You can leave sauces off of meats.  Just let them know if you don't see anything on a menu that your children will eat, and they usually have an alternative suggestion for you.

There are restaurants that lend themselves better to finicky eaters.  Most of the buffets have a special children's section, where you'll find things like chicken nuggets, french fries, pizza, and macaroni and cheese.  Some of the counter service locations, such as Cosmic Ray's at the Magic Kingdom and Sunshine Seasons food court at EPCOT, have multiple stations, so you can choose a station that has food your kids like.  The options are seemingly endless!

I hope you enjoy a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World, and find yourself with some happy kids when they see the options available to them!
