    We are travelling to Walt Disney World the first week of January 2020 and were hoping that there may be an after hours event while we are there. When are the the dates for these events usually announced? Thanks! Tim

    Hi Tim,

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited to hEAR you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort in January!

    Disney After Hours is a great way to experience many of the most popular attractions at night with a limited number of Guests in the park. My family attended Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park in May and thoroughly enjoyed the nighttime event. We rode 14 attractions throughout the night and loved stopping for complimentary ice cream, popcorn and bottled drinks on our way to the next attraction. 

    On March 28, 2019, the Disney Parks Blog announced that additional Disney After Hours dates would be available in May and June. Last September, dates for Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park were announced for events available December through March of 2019. Although the timeframe can vary, future dates for Disney After Hours have historically been announced approximately two months in advance. That being said, I recommend checking the Disney Park Blog starting in early September in case dates are announced for January again.
