Hi, we are travelling from the UK and have booked for 23 Aug - 6 sept '14. What will the crowds be like then? I understand the US schools will be back by then. Thanks x

Hi Joanna! Late August and early September are great times to visit Walt Disney World if you're hoping to avoid big crowds. Many children return to school in mid-August so the attendance levels in the Disney parks generally drop by the third week of August. Crowds should be fairly low during your visit. I like to check the Crowd Calendars on unofficial websites like TouringPlans.com or EasyWDW.com to estimate park attendance levels before my Disney vacations. Those sites use factors such as historical attendance data, holidays, and special events to estimate the crowd levels in the parks using a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most crowded. For your visit, those sites are predicting the parks to be a 4, so you should be able to experience lots of attractions with little waiting during your visit.

If you have questions as you're planning your Walt Disney World vacation, please don't hesitate to ask us here at the Moms Panel! We're always happy to help!
