Hi, I am travelling from New Zealand and have the Disneyland app, but last time I could not see the wait times, is that because my phone is not set to America? Any assistance would be appreciated Tracey

    Well hello there, Tracey!

Welcome to planDisney and we're so happy that you're reaching out to us for help. It sounds like you are a Disneyland Resort veteran and I'm glad that you fell in love with these Parks. We see a lot of international travelers visiting Walt Disney World so it's great that you're wishing to visit Walt's original Park again!

I'm sorry that you had troubles viewing wait times in your app during your last visit. My fellow panelist Greg L was able to chat with a Cast Member about your specific issue and they stated that there were no international blocks that they were aware of on the app itself and nothing came up when they searched specifically for that issue. They theorized that perhaps you had inadvertently downloaded the My Disney Experience app, which is specific for Walt Disney World? The Disneyland Resort has its own separate Disneyland Mobile App which can be found in your App Store. If you are experiencing the same issues again on your next visit, they suggested using the "Chat With Us" feature within the app for a Cast Member to personally try and help you out. Prior to your visit, you could try reaching out for support to see if the issue could be resolved beforehand.

With technology these days, there's bound to be a Stitch in the system somewhere! I'm not sure where you were looking at wait times, but another suggestion would be to look under "My Genie Day" and the Tip Board tab, where standby times are also listed.

I love meeting international travelers whenever I visit Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure! You're going to love the new decorations, food items, and experiences that they've added for the Disney100 Celebration. Be sure to stick around for the two new nighttime spectaculars: Wondrous Journeys and World of Color - ONE! And Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway has become one of my favorite attractions at Disneyland and is not to be missed.

Tracey, I hope you found this helpful and are able to resolve your issue before visiting. Feel free to come by planDisney again anytime!

Come back again; we'll see you then.

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
