I am travelling with my husband and 2 daughters, ages 3 and 6, to Disney in October. I can book a package with a studio room at Bay Lake Tower for $600 less than a room at the Contemporary. Would the studio room be tolerable with 2 active girls?

    Hi Tina,

Disney in October is my favorite time of the year at the Walt Disney World Resorts! I love Bay Lake Tower as it is a great location to get to the Magic Kingdom.

In general, a studio room is slightly larger than a standard room at the same Disney resort. The extra space comes with the addition of a kitchenette in the studio. I have spent many vacations with my daughters in a studio and it was fine for us especially at this age. Now that they are teens, we may need to rethink this option for longer trips. Often the studio will come with a day bed which makes it nice for each girl to have their own bed.

With pricing always changing, it is best to call the cast members at Disney at 407-WDISNEY to get a price on both accommodations. Looking quickly online, I think you might be able to save about $300 at Bay Lake Tower including the Dining Plan. However, the cast members will be able to customize your reservation to meet your needs.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
