We are travelling on the Honolulu to Vancouver Disney Cruise in March, I understand candles are on the prohibited list, can we bring them on and hand them over then collect them at the end? We are from the uk so they will be gifts and souvenirs

    Hello Leanne,

It is great to see you back at planDisney! What an exciting cruise you have on the horizon! I know you are looking forward to it and I'm happy to help as you plan.

Leanne, I checked with a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member about your question. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that you will be able to retrieve your candles at the end of your cruise. Since candles are among prohibited items, it would ultimately be up to the port officials if the candles would be held or discarded.

I'm sorry I don't have a more definitive answer for you, but I do have a suggestion to offer in terms of gifts and souvenirs. There are several shops aboard Disney Wonder offering a variety of unique souvenirs. You will have several days at sea, which are perfect days to shop on board and I trust that you will find some special keepsakes and gifts.

Speaking of days at sea, you will have many glorious days to explore Disney Wonder, with multiple opportunities to dine at one of my favorite venues, Tiana's Place! Did you know that you can order more than one dessert each evening? Save room for Mama Odie's Chocolate Bread Pudding and a serving of New Orleans Banana Foster Sundae after your meal!

Leanne, I hope that you have a wonderful holiday and that you find the perfect souvenirs to take home. Please let us know if you have other questions; we are here to help!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
