We're travelling with our 2 granddaughters 8 & 7 and plan on staying at Old Key West can anyone tell me how they liked it, pros & cons. Also, thinking of getting the 2 bedroom. Anyone been there late October early November (weather)? Thanks

    Dorothy,

I really love, LOVE the Old Key West resort! I think you will be very happy there. It has very large rooms that offer more space than the other villa properties, which we loved. When you're traveling with young children, especially, every little bit of space helps!

Besides the spacious and well-appointed suites, we love the calm, relaxed feel of this resort. No one there seems to be in a hurry, and we've always found it to be very quiet and peaceful. Even in the pool area, it has a different, less hectic vibe than other resorts. And Olivia's, the restaurant on site, is very good. It has the comfortable feel of a vacation spot you've been enjoying for years, even on your first trip.

As far as weather, I think you will be very happy. It's generally still very warm, but the humidity has eased up considerably, making the days more pleasant than even a month or so earlier. My family lists October as our very favorite time to visit. Just be sure to pack ponchos - rain showers are likely, but they won't last long. Throw on a poncho and wait it out - you'll be glad you did!
