I will be travelling to Disney in December and have a really picky eater. He is 10 yrs old but if we are not on the dining plan can he order off the kids menu?

    Hello Rebecca,

Oh, how our children, and sometimes adults, can be picky eaters. The kids menus at Walt Disney World are for those Guests ranging in ages 3 years old- 9 years old. I do realize adult size portions can be a bit much for some and even maybe food options are not to their liking.

If you are dining at a Quick Service restaurant at Walt Disney World, I do not foresee a problem when ordering. This is because you order or select the food, like at a cafeteria or a fast food restaurant. However, at a Table Service restaurant, where you sit down and a Cast Member takes your order, you may possibly need to oder from the adult menu. Then again, there have been several occasions, my now 11 year old, who at the time was 10, ordered from the kids menu and the Cast Member never said a word. It can't hurt to go ahead and have him select from the kids menu. The only time we paid an adult price for her was during a Table Service buffet. With a little bit of pixie dust you may be pleasantly surprised.

Enjoy your upcoming stay at Walt Disney World and let me know if I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance.

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
