Welcome to planDisney, Thomas! We are glad you brought your question to us today.
I am happy to hear you are already thinking about transportation options for your December visit! One of my favorite aspects of planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is figuring out the logistics of how I can best utilize
Disney Resort Transportation. Sounds like we are on the same page!
I am a huge fan of the
Disney Skyliner and can understand why you would want to traverse high in the sky around Walt Disney World Resort. From
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, the Disney Skyliner makes it so quick and easy to reach
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios. However, you'll need to use a different transportation method to reach
Magic Kingdom Park. At this time, the EPCOT
monorail line is not operating. To use complimentary resort transportation from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, you will need to take a
bus to reach Magic Kingdom Park.
Thomas, even if the EPCOT monorail returns to service in time for your December trip, I still would not recommend this plan. The EPCOT Skyliner station is located at International Gateway in World Showcase. To reach the EPCOT monorail station, you would need to walk all the way through the park and exit through the main gate in Future World. Not only would this plan be much more time consuming than taking a bus from your resort, since park hopping is temporarily unavailable, you would not be able to enter EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park on the same day.
Be sure to check out this "
Know Before You Go" page in advance of your trip for the latest updates in operational procedures. If you have any additional questions, please stop by planDisney again. We are always happy to help.
