Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ann!
I am so excited to hear you will be cruising with Captain Mickey this summer! I don't know about you, but this has been a harsh Minnesota winter and I've been dreaming about Castaway Cay almost everyday. It won't be long before we will be trading in our snow boats for some flip flops!
I feel like the cabanas on Castaway Cay are the holy grail of Disney Cruise Line. My family has been fortunate to cruise in Concierge level cabins, which has provided us the opportunity to book a cabana early. Now that you have achieved Gold
Castaway Club status, your earlier
Advanced Booking Window will help give you a better opportunity to reserve your very own slice of heaven in the sand.
My first recommendation to successfully nab a cabana would be make sure you are logged in and complete your Online Check-In at the moment your Advanced Booking Window opens. Proceed directly to your Castaway Cay day and review your Port Adventure reservation options for any cabana available. This is the only place on the website you can locate Castaway Cay cabana information. I have found the cabanas on the Castaway Family Beach are reserved earliest. If you are traveling in a party without children, I would recommend you look for a cabana on the adults exclusive Serenity Bay Beach.
If a cabana is not available when you complete your Online Check-In, I would recommend checking daily as plans can change and someone may release a reservation prior to your sailing. You can also visit Guest Services (Deck 3, Midship) when you board the Disney Dream in August and have yourself added to a waitlist for a Cabana at that time.
Good luck and enjoy making memories! Angie
