Hello, we are travelling to Disney with our 2 children in Feb2011. I have found great Character Dining options for our 3 yr old daughter, (if reservations are avail), but trying to decide what would be the most exciting Dining options for our 8 yr old boy

Hi, Catherine!  I have all girls, but my brother and sisters all have boys, so I know an eight year old boy can be tricky.  They are usually at an age where it's too cool to act like they like some of the things you know they'd really love.

There are quite a few dining options available that we've enjoyed with my nephews.  The first thing that comes to mind is the Sci Fi Dine In.  How cool is it to sit in a convertible car and watch clips of old drive in movie theater movies?  My nephews all love this one, and we've even done it more than once on some vacations with them.

Another big hit with the boys in my family is Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge.  There are always some shenanigans going on there that make the restaurant fun and funny for tween boys.

If you want to do a dinner show, check out the Hoop Dee Do Musical Revue.  I'm sure the other moms on the panel will back me up in saying this is a roaring good time for the whole family.

If you think he'd like a character meal, check out Donald's Safari Breakfast at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  Even my older nephew let us take his picture with Donald Duck!

I hope you enjoy a wonderful vacation!
