Travelling 2 adults, 4 yr, 2 yr, and 6 mos, on NYE, staying at CB one nite to NYD. Planning on MK and I understand we're guaranteed admission to 1 park How early should we plan on being on the bus and arriving at mk? Driving from Tampa that morning.

Hi Sara! I hope your kids are early risers! I've always found that arriving at a park prior to opening is a great way to experience a lot of attractions first thing in the morning with minimal waiting. Since you're visiting during a busy holiday when the parks can fill to capacity, arriving early is even more important to ensure that you can visit and enjoy the park of your choice that day. The Magic Kingdom opens at 8 a.m. on New Years Eve, but Disney resort guests can take advantage of an Extra Magic Hour at 7 a.m. Since the trip to the Magic Kingdom takes only 15 minutes or so, I'd recommend that you plan to be on the bus by 6:30 a.m. so you can proceed through the ticket turnstiles and bag inspection and be ready to hit the attractions when the park opens. If you were planning to visit the park on New Years Day, it opens at 9 a.m. that day so be on the bus by 8:30 at the latest.

Wishing you a magical New Years vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
