We are traveling with a 2 yr old and I am wondering if we will have to pay for a meal for him at the Tusker House Character lunch? We do not have DDP and he is super picky and we are just curious how much we will have to pay. Trying to watch our budget.

    Hello Lori,

Guests under the age of 3 are considered special Guests of Mickey Mouse and are able to experience Walt Disney World for free. What this means for you during your dining experience is the following. If dining at a counter service restaurant, your child can share your meal with you but if you chose a child's meal you will need to pay. I, often, share my counter service meals with my husband or friends as a way to budget and because the meal portions can be quite generous. For a table service restaurant, again your child is able to share off your plate, but similar to counter service, if you decide to order a child's meal you will be charged. And finally for a buffet, such as Tusker House Restaurant, your child can easily share off your plate and not be charge for a child's plate.

I hope this helps with determining your dining budget at Walt Disney World. If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask and may your upcoming stay at Walt Disney World be filled with many magical and memorable moments.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
