When traveling with young children, and using the rider swap option, does the entire party have to be present at the line entrance, or can the small child wait with an adult at another location? (i.e. if the child is napping, does everyone have to go?)

    Hello Amanda,

Thank you for making a magical stop here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I hope you are having a Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Day!

There are so many attractions at the Disneyland Resort that will accommodate your entire family to ride with no height restrictions. For those attractions that may have a height restriction too tall for your younger mousketeers or they decide they do not wish to ride, you may utilize the Rider Switch Pass. From my personal experience utilizing this service, we have always walked up as a group to the attraction, the Cast Member has always looked for the non-rider in the group for verification. You may want your party to be in clear sight of the attraction so your party may direct the Cast Member where the waiting party is at.

Guests should notify the Cast Member upon entering the queue line that they would like to utilize the Rider Switch Pass. One adult will wait with the child(ren) not riding the attraction. After the Guests have waited in line and enjoyed the attraction, the Guests will take turns watching the child(ren) not riding. Then the waiting adult may bring one (1) Guest along with them to enjoy the attraction. That adult and Guest will not have to wait in the regular queue line, the Cast Member will let you know where specifically to return with the Rider Switch Pass.

I hope this helps and that you have a pixie-dusted visit. If you have any more questions, please visit me here and let me know how I can help you plan your magical vacation.

    Wishing y'all magic!
