Welcome aboard, Jennifer! Disney Cruise Line offers the perfect vacation for guests of all ages! In fact, my husband and I enjoy sailing without the kids on Disney's ships when we get the chance to sneak away too! Your 17 year-old and 21 year-old are in for lots of fun and adventure!
As you mentioned,
Vibe is the place to be for the older teens, so your 17 year-old will get to meet lots of new friends and participate in all sorts of fun activities not only in the club itself, but as a group throughout the ship. For those who are 18 and over, there is also the 1820 Society for the young adults. Technically, this is for those ages 18-20 who are not old enough to drink, but too old for the Youth Clubs. Cast Members run this fun series of outings, so your older daughter might want to pop in for some of these, just knowing that they won't be including alcohol in these events. I know she's a year older, but if she chats with the Cruise Staff team who are running these, most of the time, it's totally fine for those around this age to participate too! I suggest that she attends the first meet up where the team will feel out the interest level of these particular cruisers and plan other lunches, gatherings, and outings together. Game night, specialty coffee tastings at
Cove Cafe and more! Check your Personal Navigator or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for details about the first and then future gatherings of the 1820 Society.
Plus, as an adult, your daughter will have access to the Quiet Cove Pool, Senses Spa, and the after hours clubs all around the ship! She's in for a really exciting adventure, Jennifer! Have so much fun!
