I am traveling with a 5 and 6 year old. How many strollers should I bring, if any. And, do the parks have stroller rental?

Hi, Misty!  I think how many strollers you bring depends on how long you plan on being in the parks each day and how tired you think your children will become.  We stopped bringing a stroller when our youngest was about four, mostly because she refused to sit in it.  If the girls got tired to the point that they were crabby, we took that as our cue to leave for the resort to give them a break.

Having said that, I know kids who love having a place to sit - especially while waiting for parades or fireworks.  The stroller is a little more comfortable than sitting on the curb, so some younger kids take advantage of the cushy place to sit a while.

You can rent strollers at Walt Disney World.  Each theme park has them, and you can rent a single or double stroller.  The cost for a single stroller is $16 per day, and you can get a double stroller for $31.  A credit card deposit of $100 is also required, but it is refunded when you return the stroller.

If you plan on renting the stroller for multiple days, you can get a discount.  A length of stay ticket is available at the rate of $13 per day for the single stroller and $27 for a double.

For older kids, the double stroller may be the way to go.  It gives them a little room to stretch out.  Do bring a towel or something with you though, as the plastic can get a little warm to sit on.

    Have a great vacation!
