Hi Linda!
I've traveled to Walt Disney World with little ones often and when I first starting going, I brought lots of items to entertain the little ones while waiting in line. However, I found that they often didn't need the toys or distractions, it just added to our load of items we were carrying.
Many of the queues at Walt Disney World offer entertainment. For example, T
he Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh has fun interactive games throughout the line queue and a section that serves as a mini playground! They also have walls that are interactive to the touch. At the
Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction there is a full-blown playground in the queue of the attraction. You can actually sign-in with a Cast Member, get a pager to virtually hold your place in line and parents can sit down and relax while the kids play! The queue at Toy Story Mania is like an attraction within itself because the surroundings make you feel like you are a toy in Andy's Room, complete with oversized games and toys.
The one thing I always brought with me when the kids were little were goldfish because sometimes kids get hungry while waiting in a long line and it's good to have a snack to hold them over. If they have a lovey or blankie, you may want to bring that as well.
I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
