We are traveling with our 4 and 5 year old grandsons, staying at the contemporary in a tower magic kingdom view room. Will we see the fireworks from the rrom? I have a reservation at California Grill, but it may be too late for children. Keep or cancel?

    Hi Susan,

I loved staying at Bay Lake Towers. We had a Magic Kingdom view room and it was so nice to see the Magic Kingdom from our window. It was even better at night during the fireworks!

The California Grill is one of my family's favorite places to eat. My daughters have dined there since they were three and five. Now they like to watch the pastry chef make delicious desserts while waiting for their's to arrive at our table.

The California Grill will actually hold service during the fireworks. They will also place food warmers over any dinners which were out prior to the fireworks starting as some guests like to go out to the balcony to watch the fireworks. They also pipe in the music to the restaurant as well so you feel like you are in Magic Kingdom.

You do not say when you are going on your vacation so I am not sure when the fireworks will happen. If you are going in the late fall when fireworks are early, it might be okay for your grandsons to stay awake. If it is the summer, it might be too late. We generally make exceptions to our schedule at least once during our trip to stay late for an event. We then sleep a little later the next day.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
