    We are traveling with my 91 year old father and 81 year old mother with mobility issues. We are staying at Saratoga Springs. Is there anything we need to plan ahead to accommodate elderly parents? We have dining and scooters arranged.

    Hi Sandra!
    The Walt Disney World offers exciting entertainment for the young and the young at heart, and I'm so happy to hear that you will be spending a multi-generational vacation here! Preparedness is always key at WDW, both for those who are novices as well as those who are newbies!
    My best recommendation for your party is to make sure you get a GAC! The GAC is geared to enable guests to experience the park within their comfort zone. It will alert Cast Members assisting at attractions to allow your family to wait in a cooler, less crowded area, and will help them gauge what seat during certain experiences will enable your parents to enjoy the attractions. When arriving at your park of choice, head to Guest Relations. They will ask you questions with respect to your stay, in order to make sure that they are able to provide you with GAC that is most appropriate for your party.
    Also, I cannot stress hydration enough!!! Walking the parks, albeit fun and interesting, does take a toll on the body, especially in that gorgeous Florida sun! Make sure that they drink enough water, and rest in the cool, shaded areas, of which there are plenty! You've gone the best route by making sure their mobility issues were covered with the scooter rental. They will have a mode of transport both inside AND outside the parks. The resorts can be quite extensive walking wise, so kudos to you there!
    Overall, enjoy this wonderful experience and keep cool. Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
