    Hi, we're traveling to the World in Oct for the 3rd time, but have never been to a water park. Kids wil be 7 and 5. Which water park do you recommend for children these ages? Will October weather allow for a water park day? Thanks

    Hi Jeremy,

    When my kids were early elementary age, they greatly preferred Blizzard Beach over Typhoon Lagoon. Both water parks are great, but Blizzard Beach has a special area, called Ski Patrol Training Camp, that's specifically designed for kids ages about 5 to 10.

    Ski Patrol has an over-water zip line that's just for kids, some medium-sized slide (like Baby Bear - there're just right), and a fun activity where they can cross the water by hopping between floating "ice bergs."

    In addition to all that, children are welcome to participate in any other activity for which they are tall enough. This means your kids can go in the lazy river, take the family raft ride with you, and much more. 

    As for the weather, temperature in October are often in the high 70s or even 80s. Barring some odd meteorological event, you should be able to find several days where water park fun makes sense.
