Hi Laura, welcome to planDisney!
I'm dreading facing Thanksgiving crowds at the grocery store this weekend and you're planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Wanna trade?! I'd much rather be entering the grid on
TRON Lightcycle / Run or enjoying a Caffè Latte from
Main Street Bakery while people-watching in Magic Kingdom Park.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party takes place on select nights at Magic Kingdom park and is the special event of the holiday season. Most of the 2023 party dates have already sold out, and I expect that number to increase. Christmas party availability changes in real time and some Guests have Cinderella stories about day-of availability for sold out party dates. I encourage you to continue checking online for availability before your trip, just in case. You are also welcome to check with Guest Relations at Magic Kingdom Park to see if there are any Christmas party tickets available for your desired date, but there is no guarantee. I can, however, pretty much guarantee smaller Magic Kingdom Park crowds for general admission Guests on dates that Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party takes place.
Magic Kingdom Park is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for general admission Guests on days that Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party takes place. In addition to generally smaller crowds and lower wait times for attractions, you will get a full dose of holiday magic. From the 65-foot tree on Main Street, U.S.A., to the Mickey wreaths that line your path to Cinderella Castle, you will feel like you've entered your very own winter wonderland. Several of the holiday-inspired food items featured in the
Disney Eats: Foodie Guide to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party are also available during regular park hours. These items include the Hot Cocoa Churro and Red Velvet Wreath, available at outdoor vending locations by Cinderella Castle. You can also experience
Jingle Cruise, the holiday overlay of the beloved Jungle Cruise attraction, during regular park hours.
Like my good friend Mary Poppins says, Laura, "Anything can happen if you let." This includes being open to the possibilities associated with attending and
not attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
