We are traveling the week after Thanksgiving 5 people. Would you stay at the POR or the Coronado springs?? Any buildings we should request in either?? My parents are joining us and they are both in there 70's.

    Kathy,

Both are great resorts, so either way you choose, you should be fine. I think probably I would opt for Coronado Springs, requesting a room in Building 1, so that I was close to the resort amenities.

If, however, you think that they might want to do some evening visits to Downtown Disney for shopping or dining on their own, Port Orleans might be better, for the boat access. Or, if you are there with kids and they are up for watching them, the same might apply so that you have a nice boat ride for a dinner out.

But if you are all going to stick together as a group, and Downtown Disney does not have much appeal, you might prefer the quieter setting of Coronado Springs.

In either resort, request a room near the main resort lobby building, so as to minimize their walk times. Don't hesitate to call the resort 10 days out to reiterate the request.

I am glad to answer any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
