    Hi! We are traveling to WDW on the week of March 1st-8th with our two daughters 10 months and 3 1/2 years old (their first trip). How are the crowds around these dates and what should I pack weatherwise? Very excited!! Thanks!

    Linda,

    How exciting for them to get their first visit!

    Crowd size is pretty busy the first week of March, and it only gets busier as the months advances. But remember that with four parks and the outdoor attractions like water parks finally being a draw due to improved weather, you should be OK. Just prepare for lines, and know that at 1 and 3, your girls will have time to visit again if you don't see EVERYTHING on this first trip!

    As for weather, the National Weather Service website (www.nws.noaa.gov) indicates that the March temperature and rainfall are as follows;

    • March high temperature: 78.8
    • March low temperature: 55.9
    • Average March temperature: 67.4
    • Monthly Rainfall: 3.54 inches
    Bottom line is that it is still cool, comparative to the average Orlando temperatures, and evening temps require jackets or sweaters. But the rainfall is on the lighter side, certainly well below the summer where it can be well over double that amount.

    Have a magical vacation!
