We will be traveling to WDW this summer and it will be the first time for our young kids(ages 6 and 2). I have been looking at the hoop de doo dinner or Mickey's Backyard BBQ. Which one would you recommend?

Hi Brittany! I'm so excited that your kids will be making their first (of many, I hope) trip to Walt Disney World! It promises to be a magical vacation for you and your family! My kids and I loved Hoop-De-Doo Musical Revue! It was so thoroughly enjoyable, and the food was excellent! Mickey's Backyard BBQ is a dance party and buffet held at Fort Widerness Resort & Campground. It is a lot of fun, complete with Mickey and Friends, and entertainment geared toward little and big kids alike. Taking into account your kids ages, I would recommend Mickey's Backyard BBQ. The fact that they can dance and play games with their favorite character will make it a most memorable occasion. It is extremely kid friendly, which appeals to most parents, and it's great to see both parents and kids line dancing with Goofy or Donald!! Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation! -Malanie

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
