We are traveling to WDW for my son’s 3rd birthday! He turns 3 on the last day of our trip. We are out of state passholders so the rest of our party has annual passes and we are staying on property. Does he need an annual pass on our last day of the trip?

    Hey, Howdy, Hey, Rachel!

I'm so happy to welcome you back to planDisney! It's always such a treat to see returning Guests, and I really appreciate you continuing to trust us to help plan your Disney vacations. It means so much that we get to be a small part of making your magical memories. Whether it's answering questions, sharing tips, or pointing out some fun little-known experiences, we're always excited to help you make the most of your time at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

Your visit is literally just days away, and I bet you're so excited! This time of the year is especially magical at Disney, with the parks sparkling with holiday lights, festive decorations, and cheerful seasonal touches everywhere you look. With special events like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights, there's so much holiday fun and exclusive entertainment to enjoy that really brings the season to life. It's one of those times when every corner of the park feels extra magical and full of joy, making your visit even more memorable!

As you know, little Mouseketeers under 3 years old get to visit the parks as Guests of the Mouse. Once your little one turns 3, though, he'll need his very own theme park ticket. So if he happens to visit the park on this third birthday, he'll need his own ticket for that day.

Since your visit is right around his birthday, I'd definitely recommend grabbing a Celebration Button for him, either at the front desk of your Disney Resort or at any Guest Relations location located in the parks. Having a birthday at Disney is truly a magical experience, and the Cast Members love to celebrate along with you. You'll probably notice a few extra smiles, greetings, and maybe some extra pixie dust throughout the parks. It really makes your trip feel that much more special!

Rachel, I hope this is helpful and that you have the most wonderful vacation. Thank you again for stopping by planDisney with your question...we're always happy to help!
