Traveling to WDW in Sept 2015 with a 5 year old. We are staying POR so we will have magic bands. On the Disney Fantasy they secured the bands on the kids so they wouldn't come off. I don't want him to lose it, is there a way they secure it on his wrist?

    Hello, Laura!

I have found that the best way to secure a MagicBand on my daughter is to ensure a proper fit. You can carefully peel off the grey part of the MagicBand to transform the band into a child-sized one. This helps to remove any excess space that may get caught on clothing or other objects, and makes the MagicBand even more comfortable for small wrists. My daughter was five years old on her most recent visit to Walt Disney World, and the MagicBand stayed right on her wrist with no issues during our entire trip. If you are still concerned about your son losing his MagicBand, you may want to look at some of the unofficial options that are being sold online, like the Bitbelt. I have not used any of these sliders to secure our MagicBands, but they appear to work much like the little 'belts' on wristwatches do.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Walt Disney World vacation, Laura! If you have any other questions that we can help you with, please do not hesitate to stop back by the Moms Panel. Have a magical day!
