Traveling to WDW 12.20 - 12.29 at POR. Have BBB reservation for DD on 12.22 @ 1:55 in MK with CRT dinner reservations @ 3:50. Know the park will be busy so curious if we should get there when the park opens? We are going to the MVMCP 12,21 so late night

How exciting your Walt Disney World vacation begins in just a few short weeks, Mark! I know you must be getting super excited! I completely understand your concern in making sure Magic Kingdom Park does not reach park capacity on the day of your daughter's magical makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table while making sure she is not too tired to enjoy the experience from the late evening on the 21st. I have visited Walt Disney World many, many times in the days leading up to Christmas and have never been there when the parks reached capacity. In my experience, it is the week between Christmas and New's Years Day when it is most common for parks to reach capacity. Although I am a huge proponent of arriving to the theme parks at park opening, I have found firsthand that my children sometimes need to sleep in after a late evening the night before to fully enjoy the day. Since you will be attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and subsequently staying up late, I would personally let my children sleep in. I would also recommend that you call the front desk of your resort on the morning of the 22nd to find out if Magic Kingdom Park is nearing capacity levels and adjust your plans if needed. Disney uses different phases when parks are nearing capacity levels. A great article explaining this system can be found at touringplans.com/walt-disney-world/capacity-closures. I hope this information helps! Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical and merry trip, Mark!
    Happy Planning,
