We are traveling to WDW next week and have not been able to make reservations for a Character Breakfast. Are there walk up spots available, or just reservations?

Hi Marcie! I can be a procrastinator myself, so I too have occasionally decided I just had to eat at a certain Disney restaurant only to find that no reservations were left. However, with persistence and a little luck, I'm often able to get a last-minute reservation. Definitely keep checking for reservations before leaving on your trip. On the Disney website, you can click "Character Dining" in the "Cuisine or Dining Experience" box and "Breakfast" in the "Time" box to pull up all the restaurants with availability on a given day. (I checked a few days next week and did find availability at the Hollywood & Vine character breakfast.) When you're at Disney, call the Dining line from your resort room to check for reservations. Many guests do cancel their reservations when they firm up their plans. On several visits, I've scored Chef Mickey's breakfast reservations by calling from my resort room the night before! If you're unable to make a reservation, it doesn't hurt to walk up to the restaurant and ask if there's availability. Sometimes guests won't show up for a reservation so there may be openings. You'll have the best luck if you walk up at off-peak times such as when the restaurant is near opening or closing.

Hope you're able to dine with the characters! Come see us again at the Moms Panel if you  have more questions! We're happy to help!
