Hiya, Tina.
Welcome to planDisney! Can you believe your adventure to
The Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the corner? You have so much to look forward to on your trip, especially the festive fun of the
50th Anniversary Celebration. Are you counting down the seconds? I know I would be!
I see you're dreaming of
all the delectable food you will be introducing your taste buds to on your trip, and who can blame you? Food is half the fun on a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort after all, and with so many options to choose from, you're in for a real treat! You can easily check dining availability through your
My Disney Experience App by clicking the plus sign on the main screen and selecting "Check Dining Availability." Input your party size and select the date to see available
dining reservations. Pro tip: Scroll through and select each of the time options on the "Search By Time" feature. Sometimes reservations will pop up that weren't there before.
The configuration and occupancy is unique to each restaurant on property, so the maximum amount of Guests per table depends on the location. Most reservations can easily accommodate up to four to six Guests, but there are some restaurants that can seat larger groups together at a table as well. My family had success booking dining reservations for all 10 of us together at
Biergarten Restaurant in EPCOT,
Boma - Flavors of Africa in Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge,
The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom Park, and
Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge back in November. If you have a larger traveling party, those are good restaurants to start with if being seated together is a top priority.
Keep in mind you can also call the friendly Disney Dining Cast Members at 407-939-3463 and speak to them about your party's specific needs. They may be able to set up two dining reservations around the same arrival time by splitting larger parties into two smaller groups. When you check in for your dining reservations, you can speak to a Cast Member and request that your groups be seated together. The restaurant will do their best to accommodate your request, though it's not a guarantee.
If you were instead referring to restrictions related to COVID-19, restaurants may have limited capacity and reservation availability, while others remain closed at this time. You can read all the details related to dining on the
Dining: Know Before You Go page. Currently,
face coverings are required at all indoor locations, so all members of your party must have a face covering on to enter the restaurant. They may be removed when actively eating or drinking while stationary once you are seated.
Tina, I hope this information proves helpful. If you have further questions, please stop back by planDisney. We'd be happy to help. Enjoy every moment of your magical vacation!
See ya real soon,
Alyssa
