I am traveling to WDW from March 3 to March 6 staying at the Yacht Club with my husband and 2 daughters. On March 6 we are getting on the Disney Cruise from Port Canaveral. What is the best way to transfer from the Yacht Club to the Disney Cruise?

    Ahoy Christine!

Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  You are doing it RIGHT!  I love to sneak in a few days at The Most Magical Place on Earth when my family sails out of Port Canaveral as well.  You made an excellent choice starting off your vacation at Disney's Yacht Club Resort.  That sand bottom pool and nautical theming will get you ready for your tropical adventure with Captain Mickey!

To get to the cruise terminal, you have a few options.  For many guests, the easiest option is to add Disney Cruise Line ground transportation to your cruise reservation.  Available for an additional fee, a Disney Cruise Line motor coach will pick you up at your resort and take you directly to the port.  I like this option as Disney Cruise Line will arrange to pick up your luggage the morning of your embarkation day and then it will magically appear in your stateroom later, no need for you to haul it!

If you would prefer to get to the cruise terminal early because you scored one of the first port arrival times or if you are a concierge cruiser with priority boarding, I recommend you consider using Disney's Minnie Van service.  You will be responsible to book, pay and haul your own luggage, but this does give you more flexibility as to when you arrive at Port Canaveral, as well as a private ride with your family.  As it is connected to the Lyft app, a ride is easy to book!  You can also do a quick internet search to find additional private transportation services offered in the Orlando area that will take you to the port.

Before you head to the cruise terminal, be sure to download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App so you are ready to seek out all of the treasures onboard during your high seas adventure.  The app is your map to all of the details and schedules for onboard activities, deck plans and dinner menus!

Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions before you set sail, Christine!  "Sea" ya real soon!  Angie
