The
Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot starts on March 19 and runs through June 1. For any members of your group who are gardeners, this a great place to get ideas and tips about planting. There are special classes and demonstrations throughout the Festival. Even if you're not a gardener, you're in for a treat at the Festival because the grounds at Epcot are always in particularly beautiful shape at this time. The roses are all abloom and there are often special kid-friendly larger than life topiary displays to explore. Also during the Flower and Garden Festival are the super fun "Flower Power" concerts. These are free with your admission to Epcot and feature recording artists from the "flower power" era. During your stay, The Guess Who, Petula Clark, and Paul Revere and the Raiders will be performing. You could stop by and expose the youngsters to some groovy music.
The Saratoga Springs resort is near Downtown Disney (DD). When I was at WDW last week, I saw a really cute snack idea at Goofy's Candy Shop at DD. They have a "Create Your Own Treat" station where you can select from a menu of snack bases (including apples, pretzels, marshmallows, cookies, krispie treats, and others) and then select a coating dip of chocolate, white chocolate, or caramel. You can then choose to have your snack dipped in sprinkles, chips, nuts, M&Ms, crushed cookies, or other treats (or a combination of those). All the customers there looked VERY satisfied.
