We are traveling to WDW in late June w/2 adults, a 7 & 5 yr old & a nearly 2 yr old. Trying to decide if it's worth it to get the Deluxe Dining Plan since we want to attend several character meals as well as plan for 3 meals a day.

    Donna,

When I have done the math on the Deluxe Dining Plan for my family it does not work out, because my oldest is only 3. However it was obvious that as my kids got older, this would be the plan for us.
We like to do a lot of Character meals and table service dining, keeping the counter service meals to a minimum. Based on that, the Deluxe Dining Plan really works out, and saves us some money!

A simple way to see if it works for you is to list out where you plan to dine, and see what it would cost you out of pocket. If you want to go in more detail, you can view menus (with prices) for most all Disney World restaurants at AllEars.net, in the Dining section. These are not official prices, but they are certainly good enough for you to get a solid estimate.

For families that are bigger eaters, it is a great deal. For others it is hit-or-miss, so I strongly recommend you do the quick math to get a real feel for what is the best plan for you.
