We will be traveling to WDW in Jan/Feb of 2013 for7/8 days, 2 adults and 2 girls (10-13). We are planning to use the DDP, do we have to use table service for every meal? If not, is it still cost effective if we throw in a couple of counter service options

Hi Amy!  Congratulations on planning your 2013 Walt Disney World vacation!  2013 is going to be a spectacular year for WDW with the opening of the rethemed Fantasyland.  I'm really excited about that!  I'm not sure if you are using the Basic Dining Plan or the Deluxe Dining Plan, so I'll touch on both.  With the Disney Dining Plan, your entitled to one (1) snack, one (1) Quick service and one (1) Table service meal per person per day.  You can use these however you see fit.  Perhaps you use the snack for a muffin for breakfast, at lunch you use your QS credit at Pizza Planet, and enjoy a great dinner at Kona Cafe for one TS credit.

With the Deluxe Dining Plan, you are entitled to 3 meals daily, plus 2 snacks and one resort refillable mug.  The great thing about the Deluxe Dining Plan is that you are able to use both Table Service or Quick Service for any meal!  So you can have a breakfast with Winnie and Friends at Crystal Palace, lunch at the Electric Umbrella and dinner at 'Ohana.  Or, you can have breakfast at Kona, lunch at Hollywood and Vine and dinner at Columbia Harbor House.  It's your choice!

I hope this helps clarify the Dining plan a bit.  If you have any questions about the Dining plan, feel free to ask me again, and I'll be able to go into more detail about the fantastic meal options!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
