We are traveling to WDW for the first time this Dec with 4 kids (ages 1, 3, 4, and 8). We are trying to decide whether to stay at the Contemporary or Polynesian. What do you recommend?

    Hi Rachel!

That's a tough decision to make. You really can't go wrong with either choice, since both are such great resorts.

Personally, if I had to choose, I think I'd go with the Polynesian. Since you have kids who are younger, they might really enjoy the Volcano pool slide and the opportunity to watch Wishes! from the Polynesian pool and beach.

Plus, the tropical theme of the Polynesian and its grounds lends itself to exploring the resort and relaxing. Its nice to grab a bite to eat at Captain Cook's and sit outside by the pool when you have some downtime.

While both resorts are just a short monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom,at the Polynesian you also have the option to walk to the Ticket and Transportation Center to catch the monorail to Epcot. This is a nice walk and a good option too.

Hope this helps you decide! You really can't go wrong with either resort.
