Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Traci! I'm excited to answer your very first question...I hope it won't be your last!
The
Disney Dining Plan is perfect for guests who want to "snack around the world" at EPCOT's seasonal festivals. Depending on the plan you choose and the price of the items you want to nosh on, you can definitely save money while enjoying the
Global Marketplaces throughout the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Most non-alcoholic drinks and food items available at the Marketplace Booths are "snack credit eligible." Just look for the purple DDP icon on the menu board.
Guests are always welcome to use their snack credits at the booths. In my experience, I have also been able to use one Quick Service credit to get three DDP-eligible snacks (as long as they're all purchased in a single transaction at the same dining location). I've had success with this exchange when using both a child's and an adult's credits. This policy is up to the vendor's discretion, however, so your mileage may vary- I recommend asking the Cast Member before ordering.
Here's a Moms Panel tip: do some research on the Global Marketplaces ahead of your trip so you can get an idea of what you'd like to try and how to get the best bang for your buck! Also, you'll want to pick up a free map and Marketplace Discovery Passport, which designates the location of each Global Marketplace Booth throughout the Festival. Last year, my favorite booths were The Cheese Studio and Flavors from Fire. I'm looking forward to seeing what 2020 brings!
Bon appétit, Traci!
