Will be traveling to WDW during the holiday season with 5 yo DD. Will be our first time staying at resort (hoping to get AOA). Undecided on dates. Looking at either week of Christmas or week of New Year's (Sun-Sat)? Please advise me!!

Hi Shayla! Visiting the Walt Disney World theme parks during the holiday season is a wonderful time to go and experience the magic! Full of holiday cheer, all the theme parks and resorts are wonderfully decorated to reflect the season. Truthfully, the week of Christmas is the utmost peak time at Walt Disney World. During this time, the theme parks see maximum crowds and theme park capacity. It is also a time when due to capacity, you will see theme park closures. Of the two weeks, I would suggest the week after New Years. The crowd level will be lower, and you'll still be able to enjoy the decor. Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation! -Malanie

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
