I will be traveling to WDW on Aug,1-15th, with my wife, and four chilldren ages 15, 13, 9 and 6, and will be celebrating our 25th anniversary that month and I am not sure which resturant is kid and adult friendly and my wife is a very picky eater. Thanks!!

    John,

It's short notice now so I'm not sure if you'll find any reservations available.  However, my first choice for your group would be the California Grill.  This restaurant is located high atop the Contemporary Resort, and offers excellent food and a beautiful view of Cinderella's Castle.  The food is upscale but the atmosphere is very family-friendly - and noisy!

Next I would consider dining in the Grand Floridian at Narcoossee's.  Again, the atmosphere and food are excellent.  The restaurant is surrounded by the water of the Seven Seas Lagoon so you may even be able to see the Electrical Water Pageant float by.  And of course after your meal you can enjoy the fireworks show from the resort beach.

Finally I'd look at the Flying Fish Cafe on the Boardwalk.  This is upscale food in a family-friendly atmosphere, and their New York Strip steak is arguably one of the best on Disney property.

At these or any other restaurants you choose to eat in, your wife should be able to find food that suits her.  If the menu doesn't have something that will work for her, speak to your server.  They are very accommodating and should be able to create something that she could eat.  My husband's uncle, for example, wouldn't eat mashed potatoes with the skins left on, but the chefs were happy to give him some 'inside-only' potatoes to go with his steak.  Just ask!

Have a great vacation, and happy anniversary!
