Traveling in 9/09. Have stayed in AS before but DD is 9 now and pools are a little dull. Have DS (2) so its important to spend some downtime at resort rather than waterparks. Any suggestions for mod. resort with a fun pool (slide, sprayers, etc.)?

Thanks for the great question Rachel. We tend to stay at the value resorts, but tried Port Orleans Riverside this past March. At the end of the holiday, my nine year-old daughter asked if we could stay at All Star Music again next time. Although there is no slide, she loves the pool side activities. There were contests, dance lessons, pool volleyball with a gigantic ball, bingo, trivia challenges and more for all ages, with great prizes. In the evenings, they show Disney movies by the pool, where the kids (and adults) can watch from in the water.

In December, I had the opportunity to tour the Caribbean Beach Resort, and it's fantastic. This would definitely be the moderate resort I would recommend if you're looking for a great pool. The newly renovated pool area is amazing, with two slides in the main pool and a zero-entry kiddie pool with its own slide and fountains.

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation!
